If you ever want a very psychedelic experience indeed, walk down the up escalator at London Bridge into a bubblegun's line of fire. You will lose all sense of verticality. Whether a mass singalong of Shot By Both Sides is a necessary preliminary, I couldn't tell you.

Do you know how many people at my screening stayed for the post-credits scene in Pirates of the Caribbean? That's right, one Alexander David Gratwick (von) Sarll and no one else. Have the morons not realised how often you get Easter eggs like that these days?

I stayed! Despite being pissed off that I sat through the 12 year-long Hulk credits and got bugger-all for my patience...

ZOMBIE PIRATE MONKEY SEQUEL!

With Hulk, we had the advantage of insider info not to stay. Indeed, I do normally have some idea either way. But if not, I'll stay just in case.
And yes, the monkey was clearly even more evil than the other pirates because IT WANTS TO BE A ZOMBIE AGAIN!

gah! everyone always thinks i'm odd for wanting to stay right until the very end of the credits... even if there's no surprise there, you still have to read all the music credits, it's the law...

Reminds me of the Onion editorial "I'm really disappointed when you leave before my credit" by Third Assistant Grip.
I look at music credits if there were songs, but if there's just a score they're a bit dull.
I often get odd looks (esp since I tend to attend cinemas by myself) but clearly, if they're leaving before the end, their opinion is of no interest to me anyway.

well, that's the other thing. the minor credits. you have to watch them, as a)they have funny titles b)the people always have stupid names and c)they're probably so happy they've got their name on the end of a film, and you have to watch and go ooh and be happy for them.
i need to go to the cinema more often. good thing about norwich - the cinema doesn't cost seven million pounds.

I always wait until the end, not to read the credits and not in case there's an easter egg but because after watching a film, The Strangers always start talking about it and I always think that they're going to have some really clever thing to say about it and the only thing I can think of to say is "Oh, that was quite good I suppose", so I wait until everyone else has left and then I can say "Oh, that was quite good I suppose" and The Strangers won't hear and think I'm a retard

Yeah - I always feel the same. 'It rocked' or 'It sucked' is much better than some half-baked GCSE Media Studies 'deconstruction' of what you've just watched. There's always someone with a big nose (who knows) who has to trumpet loudly about "Oh, well of course the second unit directing was sub-par and the lighting style was clearly stolen from 'Blah Blah Blah Czechoslovakian Obscurity'... etc etc". Scum. It won't get you laid, you know.

Had a conversation about this with Stephens on the way to The Wards. Me saying I never walk out of films but I showed my disgust at Phantom Menace by walking out before the credits had finished. My mum taught me the rewards of sitting there when everyone else has gone. Spiceworld even includes a bit for the video release about still sitting on your sofa.

I have never walked out of a film at the cinema, nor even the credits, though heaven knows I've abandoned plenty on TV or video.

Well that is your zombie pirate monkey loss. Think on that.

I only don't watch the credits if I hated the film. Morons.

Would it be a good fillum for a load of teens to watch?

Definitely. Pirates and zombies for the boys, eye candy for the girls. Plus, obviously, some crossover. But why are you in possession of said large number of teens?

It's a thing I'm doing at work, showing young guys and dolls what it's like to go to Uni and live away from home. I don't know anything about the former, but quite a bit about the latter.

I misapplied that former and latter, thinking for a moment you were admitting to knowing more about young dolls than young guys!
