Thank you all for a lovely birthday; I can only apologise for being such a lightweight, and note in my defence that I didn't request any of the shots. Neither the Black Dalek nor the weeping angel appears to have got me yet, and I am more or less alive, booze and years notwithstanding. Although as I was saying to people last night (possibly more than once to some, and if so I'm sorry) - 30's like a horror movie; you're scared of the monster in advance, when it's a rustling in the shadows, but once it's revealed, it's usually not so bad.

Parental computer went on the blink yesterday, so I didn't even know about the Bhutto assassination until I got to the pub. My initial reaction was shock without surprise; now I'm mainly annoyed at the ill-chosen rhetoric quoted in that piece. How is killing a heavily-guarded leader and then yourself the act of "cowards"? When is the assassination of a political leader ever "senseless"? There are plenty of terms of condemnation in the English language - why not choose from the many which actually apply?

It's lovely, aye. Greek female electro-pop duo (with some geezer on that track) who have made two albums full of that sort of thing - utterly generic synth-pop, but full of sparkle and simple, perfect pop songs.
