Elaine Showalter's face looks like a Bo Selecta! face.
The packing is proving at once tedious and emotionally draining. I have amassed a fairly sizeable heap of discards for the poor children*, things which I can no longer justify keeping. The toy soldiers, for instance, I vaguely supposed would one day be handed down to my children but...that's not happening anytime soon and where would we keep them in the meantime?
*Actually I've requested it go to the PDSA shop. I prefer not to support charities for humans.
