Not that I wasn't looking forward to Shaun of the Dead already, but after the prologue by Pegg and Wright in the new 2000AD I'm practically rabid for it.

Listening to Melissa auf der Maur's album, as with (Dirty) Harry's, I'm forced to the conclusion that I'm only actually giving it house-room because I so would.

A ramble about last night will follow, but if you wish to save time feel free to describe it as gay/goth/hippy in advance here.

i always listen to music cos i so would have one or more members of the band, in fact in so bad about it that my first boyfriend used to tell me off for refusing to listen to ugly bands :P yay.

It's not quite so general for me; The Divine Comedy are one of my favourite bands and while Neil Hannon's cute, I wouldn't. Or Placebo, even; they're all emphatically Yours, but the music's nevertheless damn sexy.

You can never go wrong with calling Sarllo a 'gay'.

Auf Der Maur's album stikes me as a grower, with the last few songs being more impressive than the first. I'll Be Anything You Want is my favourite on there, I think. 'You're finished with your woman cos she is not me'.

Agreed on that song, especially the way it sounds like 'Paranoid' at first. But ultimately I just find the whole album sounds the same. Competent but unremarkable.
