It is interesting, though, how often they've kept the replacements going alongside the originals. In the case of Green Lantern, which was always meant to be a franchise, it makes perfect sense - but with Green Arrow, or Flash, or (briefly) the Atom, it must get terribly confusing for the residents of the DCU who can't distinguish them by their secret identities like readers can.
