I'm pretty skeptical about the Guardian opinion columns, and practice almost blanket dismissal of their reviews - we don't seem to agree on things, and yet I'm told we should. The elevation of being offended into a lifestyle is very tiresome. The elevation of being ironically offensive is being British. I suspect people who complain to the Guardian of being immigrants.
