yeah. i don't mind the shift its just strange seeing where they've taken it sometimes. its a lot more political, spiritual and personal than fighty, although they do seem to manage a bit. i guess its weirdest seeing the threat levels change. a part of me thinks that they might be cutting the cost of the big CGI battle sequences but thankfully i think they're pumping the money into the writing. its just a bit disarming when characters seem to u-turn a bit.
i like the west wing though i've only watched a couple of episodes. my dad has 4 or 5 seasons on dvd. ill probably catch up on them eventually. i do need some new series to watch though. everyone has been going on about The Wire, some have mentioned Dexter, i've vaguelly started the sarah connor chronicles and someone i think said something about Eli Stone but i havent been that fussed about following that one up. i am definitely enjoying television more now with the more choice based viewing compared to "here are 5 channels, you get to watch whats on when you are in, if you remember" like how it was a few years ago.
