I found the tie-in Avengers issues wildly variable, though some of them were brilliant - my favourite was probably the one where the Skrulls impersonating Hank Pym kept being overcome by self-loathing and killing themselves, because I always enjoy a bit of sticking the boot in where Pym's concerned. Prick.
Having loved Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts run, seeing Osborn centre-stage like this is really promising - and for all that Ellis defined this version of the character, his appearances in Amazing Spider-Man and Moon Knight show that other writers have a handle on it too, so I'm really looking forward to seeing Bendis run amok with him.
Jessica's been fairly central for a while now, pretty much since Luke joined the Avengers. I love that a relationship which began with drunken sodomy in an obscure mature readers title is now one of Marvel's central couples (and I'm looking forward to Dan Slott similarly bringing some of his own odd little favourites centre-stage as he gets more mainstream titles).
