It had a certain loopy charm, but it reminded me a little too much of the idea that genres die of inflation...when the hero has survived a nuclear explosion in the opening of the film, where are you meant to go from there? I suppose that was fun but silly, whereas later on the film was like the old ones - fun and silly.
