Went for a drink on the Queen Mary last night with Str8X.
It's inherently odd for any non-native Londoner going not for a Big Night but simply a quiet pint after work to find oneself afloat on Father Thames, with Big Ben and the Eye watching over you. It's even odder when the very same boat now being treated as a mere pub was also the venue for the wedding of fifilabelle and wardytron, and hence for my first meeting with a fair number of people I now count as friends.
And that was less than four years ago. Sometimes time doesn't seem so short after all.

Fifi was saying last night that, if she hadn't been drunk when I asked her to become Mrs Wardytron, and if she hadn't been drunk when the chap said "Do you take this here wardytron cove to be your lawful wedded husband", she probably wouldn't have said "Yes" on each occasion. But she did also say that if I asked her now she wouldn't definitely say No. So that's alright then.

Everyone bar colourblind goths was very taken with my *cream* suit.

it was fucking beige and even those ppl who likes yr beige suit thought it was beige - and to my knowlege the 3 people who thought that suit was cream were either later know as barry or had sexual relations with someone who was later known as barry........................
