I found that as House went on, I believed his character more and more. I never thought of Hugh Laurie as being crabby, American and addicted to painkillers, whereas with Eddie Izzard I do keep expecting him to switch back to an English accent after telling his funny American story...
I stopped watching House because I grew bored of watching the same episode every week. ooh it's a strange disease, ooh they don't know what to do, ooh House finds the cure through noticing something apparently completely unrelated, the end, repeat as long as they keep renewing the show...
