1. How can you expect to be taken seriously?
I don't, really. But I often find that my ability to wander blithely through almost anything, and the meta-dignity that enables me to show my face the next morning, combine to produce an awed, or at least stunned, silence which looks not unlike respect from a distance.
2. Who do you think you are?
Depending on mood, some or all of: the next stage of human evolution; a great idea executed with substandard materials; the only honest man; someone who ended up on the wrong parallel earth; an incorrigible fantasist; someone following Gandhi's advice to become the change you hope to see in the world; a conduit for something but I'm not entirely sure what; procrastinator extraordinaire; the cowardly psychopath; a better friend than I once feared.
3. Are 'friends' electric?
Well, their brain impulses are, many of them I either found or communicate with via cyberspace and mobiles; and some of them are electrifying. So on balance, yes. Though my friends more so than my 'friends' on all three counts.
4. Could it be magic?
The very structure of the universe operates on principles many would term 'magic' so almost certainly. On a more superficial and showy level, perhaps, but the word is so vague as to verge on useless.
5. Why don't you find out for yourself?
I usually try to, but there are some things I have always felt inappropriate for livejournal recording.
